Debate Club

Socratic Debate is the newest course at Debate Club. Inspired by the classes at Harvard University, the instructor will lead the group through a series of hypothetical scenarios, cases and dilemma, inviting each student to present their own ideas and defend them against the instructor and fellow students' objections. The aim of this roundtable discussion is to give students a new way to practice the skills required of outstanding debaters and thinkers. Each student will present multiple times in every class and learn to think on their feet, communicate their views, and engage with philosophical ideas.
